what i wore

1950s brown wool dress: vintage thrifted at bananas
brown oxfords: uo

Yesterday Leonard and I took the train out to Gloucester, MA for the day. I came home with some real treasures, one of which being this dress which I love love love. And I did kind of splurge on it but it is a 1950s WINTER dress in perfect condition with pockets and a million buttons in a size SMALL! I can only take so much. I wore it out to the post office and the thrift store today and people kept coming up to me to ask me about it!

Pay more, get less? Want chic styles, without paying tons of cash. Hop online and find affordable wholesale clothing, and save some time and energy. Not to mention cash!

every week i pick up about ten or twelve movies from the library to try and usually most of the movies are terrible but this week i found a diamond in the rough! it's kind of about a man who's living two seperate lives and it's about sex and its about love. sergio castellitto wrote, directed, and acted in it. also penelope cruz is in it, speaking italian and looking very trashy and abrasive. i don't usually like her but she was perfect in this. i made leonard watch it and he didn't really like it so i think it's a girl movie.

the funnest photoshoot

Today was the most fun I think I've ever had doing an etsy update. And I usually have fun. One of my oldest and closest friends from high school Sarah made a guest appearance on the East coast and I got her to agree to model for the store! The three of us worked so well together, in my daily life I don't ever have the opportunity to say this but it was a real team effort. High five guys! Unfortunately the sun set before we could finish taking pictures of everything, probably due to our girltalking and giggling and haiku writing. So anyways I'm going to put up a lot of stuff tonight and then tomorrow morning I'll get the last few up. Thanks Sarah for totally ruling that crossword puzzle and for hanging out and for being generally awesome, I think you're so great! As far as the store's concerned, keep looks here, update in progress. OH and we created a huge END OF SUMMER SALE section where everything is under $20. I really slashed prices down and a lot of it is actually under $10, I gotta make room for cold weather stuff!

Sarah's haiku for Caroline and I:
oh you rapunzels
here way up in the attic
lacy dusty pink

wardrobe remix

These are my favorite picks from wardrobe remix lately. It was kind of few and far between to find girls on there, it seems to have been taken over by Forever 21. So Bravo to these ladies, their outfits truly inspired me.

clean up clean out

In honor of Fall, Caroline and I bravely conquered the clothes monster that had become of my room. We got rid of more than a few trash bags filled to the brim with lapses of judgment from the thrift store. Mostly they had never been worn. Every few months I have to do this otherwise I would probably drown in clothing. It took all night but was hugely worth it. I found a bunch of stuff that I had forgotten about completely and even more clothes to put up in the store for colder weather. I'm also very happy to report that I now have a clean floor and a color coordinated clothing rack with all my most precious and most favorite things. Oh the trials and tribulations of being a pack rat.

i am going to see this on friday.

the end of a summer

Last weekend Leonard and I went to the cabin for our six month anniversary. We ate thanksgiving sized dinners and watched movies and at night we went outside and tried to find the big dipper. We did all the things we like to do together. It was probably the last of summer but it was a perfect celebration. Also I've been reading A Farewell to Arms which I had always shied away from because it's a war book but I'm so glad I picked it up finally. It's a book to be read in the Fall.
