goodbye south carolina, i'll miss your warm weather and comfort foods but i'm happy to go home.  i shipped myself 5 boxes of clothes i thrifted while i was down there so i'm pretty happy with that.  this yellow dress is a relic i found in my little girl room while i was home.

this trip home has been really hard.  i can't shake this feeling that i'm in some kind of trouble here.  every day i wake up and my soul feels smaller and darker.  plus being without my best friend and my boyfriend feels like being starved.  i will always be a GRITS but i think new england is officially my home now. 

well today i met that HUGE spider but i also found those shoes so i guess it evened out.

the most perfect blend of ballet slipper and oxfords. i think my heart may have actually skipped a beat or two when i came across these on craftycrowvintage's etsy shop. its true love and if they dont fit i will for reals cry. but if they do fit then i think that when i am old and grouchy and no longer any fun, i will still be wearing these shoes.

So I'm in the process of doing another update today! I know, it's shocking I JUST finished an update not two days ago. But friends I'm leaving on Saturday for a trip south to visit the family so I won't be doing an update next week. Expect a big one when I get back with treasures from all my home thrift stores. I'm so happy to go on this vacation for many reasons but most of all I'm excitec to escape the furiously fast approaching New England winter. T-shirt weather here I come.

well this marks the 200th post on my little corner of the internet. i hope you have enjoyed my musings on things that i think are pretty. and yes it is too cold to wear this outfit today but OH WELL. tomorrow is my best friend caroline's birthday and we have a whole day of relaxation and thrifting planned. happy birthday caroline, i'm so glad you were born!

new hat

i have a new favorite hat! i like it so much because of the bow and the veil. so i know i said i would go ahead and do the etsy update today but did you know it is columbus day? i didn't. it was almost impossible to get home and the bus was so crowded and awful and its basically a miracle i arrived home in one piece. anyways, im going to put up a few things tonight and the rest will be following very soon.

etsy update postponed due to me having the flu. i'm gonna try to get stuff up tomorrow, i knew i should've just gotten the flu shot like everyone else in the world.
