well i'm happy to be back in my tiny and very messy apartment.  i had a lovely holiday but it's always nice to come home where i can look at the internet til my eyeballs bleed without everybody knowing about it.  we ate a lot of turkey and squash and mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie with ice cream and it was so good to be with leonard for more than just a few days.  we are a long distance couple so we rarely have more than just the weekend to be together.  in case you have never done that, it means for the most part you are in a relationship with your cell phone.  it also means that you have to say goodbye too much.  its not so bad though because we are nine months old now but we still never take each other for granted.

 I totally wish I was going to a ballet class right now.  Instead I am diligently working on an etsy update and then I'm catching the late train for New Hampshire where I've been invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with Leonard and his family.  There's nothing I like more than a holiday in which eating is the main event!

we have just arrived home, exhausted and disheveled from the chinabus, but still in good spirits from an all together wondeful weekend.  my boyfriend gets an award for being so incredibly good and hospitable not just to me, but to my best friend as well.   he even made us beef stew and biscuits last night for sunday supper!  i saw many friends i haven't seen in way too long, we ate well, we shopped, we danced, and we went to the museum.  having caroline there plus all that other stuff makes for a pretty good ny weekend in my book.

i found this trench coat a few years ago in the little boy's section of a thrift store in south carolina.   it was $2 and i've never found another one to rival it.  this weekend caroline and i are off to new york.  we have plans including the opera, topshop, delicious brunch, and lots of other girl adventures in the big city!

i don't know about you guys but i've been finding a lot of amazing vintage coats at the thrift store recently.  usually they're all are way too big for me, but this year theres all kinds of small winter 1950s coats that i'm in love with!  this mustard colored coat being my absolute favorite.  ps: can you believe its thanksgiving already next week?

new hampshire is so beautiful! on saturday night we layed out on the hood of his truck bundled in blankets and watched the meteor shower.  i saw shooting stars!
