2nd summer

the start of summer in new england is always shaky but i think we're finally there.  caroline wanted to install the ac last night and i took photos on the roof so that means its official.  i might even get to lay out by a pool today.  i say lay out instead of swim because up here the water never gets warmer than 50 degrees and my southern roots only let me swim in waters about warm as a bath. the only thing missing is leonard and i do miss him.  this weekend he's in ny and i'm here and i think i'll live but its bound to be a long week til we see each other again.  well its fathers day and i hope for sundress weather everywhere!

a bit of dior

i've been spending a lot of time in bed recently and i don't mind it.  i've started reading again; so far just one easy vacation read and half of Travels with Charley but i'm optimistic.  and of course i've watched a million movies practically depleting the vhs and dvd section at my branch of the boston public library.  i also made leonard get a library card so i can start working on the brooklyn libraries.

kitties underneath a rosebush

yesterday leonard and i had the perfect finish to a wonderful weekend of doing absolutely nothing.  we found this little park; the kind of park that's mostly abandoned and hidden from the street and full of the best kinds of flowers and green.  after a quick look around we found a whole family of momma and baby kittens living right underneath a rose bush.  cutest ever.
