new favorite hair thing

it's hard to find an accessory that works amidst my rat's nest of hair but this bow seems to be doing the trick.  maybe because i'm in love with anything cream and chiffon?  maybe because it's so big?  i remember having a huge assortment of these when i was little and now i'm going to work on building a collection up again.  i want a poofy chiffon bow in all colors of the rainbow!  in other hair news i bought some big foam grandma curlers at the dollar store and im excited to try them out.  does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting big curls at the ends of your hair?

surprise days off are are always the best because it's like stolen time.  i usually take the train into boston to work on wednesdays but last minute i got a call saying they didn't need me which was a blessing since it's sunny and warm and officially springtime here.  if it were up to me i don't think id ever go into boston anymore.  everything you really need is in the country and it's prettier out here too.

when i was little i used to worry i'd never find a place to live as a grown-up that i liked as much as my hometown in the south. (what a thing to worry about, i guess ive led a charmed life!) but i love ipswich so much that it's starting to feel like i've found charleston's sister city in new england.  maybe it's the air but there's definitely something about living in a small town by the ocean that feels like home to me.
