if i think about it too much i start to feel like a weirdo for having a blog and spilling my guts on the internet for anyone to see.  i've been doing it since 2001 (heyyy livejournal) but it's become such a norm now that i almost forgot about the days when it was super confessional and nerdy and very much un-cool.  i loved those days!  back then i didn't write about much except for my very teenage feelings but i'm glad i still have it because it's nice to reminisce about when i was young and silly.  (i'm still young and silly right?)  so i guess in the end, even if it is weird, i'm mostly glad i have this blog and if the past is any indicator it looks like i'll be keeping at it for a while.

thrift store dreams do come true

i spent all of saturday thrifting having ice cream in the sun with friends.  i even made a new friend which is always exciting!  plus i got my wish from this post and actually did find a poofy hair bow in every color of the rainbow at the thrift store.  my favorite thing about thrifting is the surprise of finding a perfect something you didn't even know you were looking for.  but still it's pretty magical when you've got something specific in mind and you find exactly that, kind of makes you feel like it was meant to be.

i had so much fun a couple weeks ago when i met up with julie, punky, and veronika in harvard square for dinner and drinks.   it reminded me how wonderful it is to have a true blue girl's night every once and a while.  i've hung out with julie once before but this was my first time meeting punky and im hoping that we can make this a more regular occurrence because they're both so awesome and we're all boston girls! and veronika is just as sweet and fun and pretty as you'd imagine her to be, she's got me day dreaming about a trip to philadelphia to visit her!

never summer

i had to wear this dress at least once before i listed it in the shop.  i've been on the hunt for all things chambray recently and this dress is so perfectly summer.  not that we've been seeing much summer around these parts.  good thing i had today off and barely had to leave the house because otherwise i would've been too cold.  it feels much more like march than june.  here's hoping next weekend is beach appropriate!
