i've been looking for a good black bikini forever so when i spotted this one in the gisele bundchen for h&m summer campaign i was ecstatic, even if we can't all be supermodels like the muse behind this swimwear!  see below for a few pictures of her being perfect wearing some of the other pieces from her collection, and watch her music video here!

if you are like me then you had no idea that h&m is an official sponsor of coachella and that their h&m loves music tumblr that broadcasts the festival live.  admittedly i've never been to coachella but i had a great time coming up with my own pretend version of what i would wear to it!

it's 2014 and it snowed this week but for some reason i don't mind that it's winter.  probably because it's been really mild in virginia and because i've been buying myself presents (it's very good for morale).  here's a list of the things i've acquired for myself so far this year: boots, coat, leggings, sweater, and bonlook glasses.

isabel marant pour h&m

tomorrow is the official launch of the isabel marant collection for h&m!  i've already fallen in love with too many pieces and have been impatiently counting down the hours until i can finally buy them for myself at h&m.  i'm almost never happy about cold weather, but this past week i've come pretty close since the kind folks at h&m sent me this scarf from the collection.  it's quickly become one of my winter wardrobe staples, which really isn't a surprise at all!

yesterday seychelle and i found some forest behind a parking lot and here are the pictures.  i never used to wear this much black but i think it has something to do with getting older.  also because of getting older there are some things i don't think i can wear anymore without feeling like i've put on a costume (knee socks, bows, most hats).  good thing it's october and we're approaching the one day it's acceptable to wear a costume! please help me think of any/all costumes that would require knee socks, bows, or hats.  preferably all at once.

i found a hair tutorial i can actually replicate thanks to refinery29! what did girls do with their hair before youtube and refinery29 tutorials?  i could barely manage a topknot before the internet could teach me how.  in h&m news tomorrow is the LAST day to enter the 50 states of fashion contest, so get posting to instagram!

today was the beginning of the end of summer.  i can tell because this morning it was cool enough for me to wish i had a jacket.  luckily there's time left for me to decide what i would like to wear in the fall and that's exactly what this collage is about.  well it's about that and showing you the things i've been daydreaming about buying from h&m.  as the virginia state rep for the 50 states of fashion contest i hope you have all posted a bunch of selfies on instagram wearing h&m because you only have until august 21st!

i have exciting news! i've been picked to be the sole style ambassador to represent virginia in the 50 states of fashion contest H&M is having to promote their online store that launched today!  i feel very honored and even though i've only lived in virginia for a short while i have so much love for this place that i'm hoping i can do it justice.  to enter the contest, post a picture of yourself wearing your favorite H&M pieces to instagram using the hashtag #HMShopOnlineVA.  there will be a 50 states of fashion website where visitors can like your looks and after 3 weeks the 5 most liked pictures from every state will all become semi-finalists and win a $250 gift card!  plus all of the finalists will have a chance at the very grand prize of a trip to new york city during fashion week and a $1000 gift card to H&M!  good luck to everyone but i've got my fingers crossed that the winner is a virginian!

i finally have a few pictures from the apartment to show you!  this is our living room.  my boyfriend is the furniture connoisseur in this family so i can't take credit for the pieces (most of which he found at the thrift store!) but i did help decide where things were put.  i love this place and would like to do a whole post dedicated to showing it off but i've been pretty busy watching really old episodes of the real world on youtube and making flower crowns.
