i finally got over my nervousness and asked my boyfriend to take some outfit pictures for me.  truthfully i was inspired by a lot of your blogs, there seem to be quite a few of you who are brave enough to let your signifigant other take your outfit shots all the time.  i think that is so nice!  i was specifically inspired by the beautiful tieka of Selective Potential.  if you are not reading her blog already, go and add her!  she's my favorite new-found internet friend, plus her husband takes these gorgeous pictures of her in always amazing outfits.  you can almost see how much they love each other in the pictures.  so cute.  but anways, taking pictures wth leonard was actually really fun!  and he did such a good job! thank you len, i love you.  he wasn't supposed to come and visit me this weekend, we were going to stay in our respective cities and miss each other but catch up on house cleaning and laundry and other boring things you do when you're boyfriend in not in town visiting for one day.  but then friday rolled around and neither of us could stand the idea of going a whole other week without seeing each other so he hopped on the bus in nyc and made it here last night.  this morning he made a breakfast feast for us: fried egg sandwiches with cheese and avacados, bacon, fresh grapefruit, and fried tomatoes.  i am so lucky to be his girlfriend.  i think we're spending the rest of the day on the couch watching food network.

thank you all so much for your wonderful book reccomendations! wednesdays and thursdays are my usual days off, and i am for sure heading to the library tomorrow to order a million new books.  i was planning on doing a movie list for 2010 too, but i'm afraid it would take up so much space that even the boundless internet wouldn't be able to hold all the movies i could watch in a year.  right now i'm watching requiem for a dream because its on televison.  ugh i don't know, it's an amazing movie and all but still, it just hurts my soul whenever i try watch it.  bummercity.

it's snowing out there! for some reason i think it feels warmer while its snowing.  but maybe im just distracted by all the pretty and can't feel the cold as much.   things are good on this last day of 2009.  i woke up at 9am all by myself, had some coffee and a muffin, made a trip to the post office to ship one million packages, and got started on the etsy update early.  i still have my plan of couch and beer for tonight and im pretty happy with that.  and hey i truly hope all of you have a wonderful new years eve. <3<3<3

i've been so busy! since starting at american apparel i've probably spent every cent i've earned on pretty clothes.  hopefully i'll calm down soon but they have so much stuff i want! and it's good to be working all the time, i feel like a real productive adult person.

today is going to be a cleaning day.  my poor boyfriend has to wade through piles of clothes everytime he comes to visit. so i'm going to do about 500 loads of laundry and i'm going to clean out my closet.   recently i've been buying new underwear instead of just doing the wash.   i don't reccomend this.

i'm reading zelda fitgerald's biography right now and it's pretty awesome.  i mean her mother's nickname was the wild lily of the cumberland.  how wonderful is that?  i'm still only in her childhood years, but i can't wait to read about her marriage and her mysterious death by fire in an insane asylum.   i've been starting and stopping books recently, or maybe i've just been reading sub-par books.  i have high hopes for zelda, but have you guys read anything mind blowing lately?

we've almost made it through the year, good job everybody! speaking of jobs, i got a job at american apparel today which will really help supplement my income for the holiday season.  and the best part is that when i go in on monday i get to pick out my clothes allowance. i'm excited about getting a million leotards and tights and shiny dresses.
