GRITS: girl raised in the south

this trip home has been really hard.  i can't shake this feeling that i'm in some kind of trouble here.  every day i wake up and my soul feels smaller and darker.  plus being without my best friend and my boyfriend feels like being starved.  i will always be a GRITS but i think new england is officially my home now.

aww..I know how you feel. Since moving in with my beloved earlier this year, going back home to the parents by myself is a funny thing. Not because that place has changed a lot, but because home is where the heart is. I don't know if it's the same for you, but he is my home now. And the feeling being away from him is gut wrenching awful. Stick in there :)

i understand how you feel. i get the same way too. i dont think there's a way to really prevent yourself from feeling it, though. but there's beauty in melancholy.. feel better!

this makes me feel sad too :) i'm the other way 'round, born and raised in the north (boston too) and transplanted south, which has now also become my home for similar love related reasons. And, I just love your blog, because it makes me homesick too see it. So, I guess for that reason too, you have to go back! ha ha!
