my favorite movies of all time are all written or directed by charlie kaufman. they are so complex and insightful and genuine and inspiring. it amazes me that every time i re-watch any of these, i find new pieces of the story. his latest, synedoche new york, is totally insane in the best way. there are a million tiny brilliant details that all tie together and it kind of makes me want to write a 12 page research paper about it just for fun.

i remember seeing it in the theater and thinking, around the part the burning house is introduced, well here we fucking go. you know you're in for a mind fuck, but it's always So Much Fun. <3<3<3
