i'm so jealous of girls who can throw on some red lipstick and automatically turn any outfit into glam central.  i almost never wear it, mostly because whenever i do, i feel like a little girl playing dress up.  anyways here is my attempt.  i'm not sure if i really pulled it off and i kept worrying about it being on my teeth all day long but it was still fun to be all girled out. also i am so sick of christmas music and i think that it would be awesome if i never had to hear rudolf the red nosed reindeer ever again.  sorry i am the grinch.

I'm in love with this outfit.. you are so so so pretty! You can totally pull off the red lipstick! That picture of you jumping.. couldn't be more perfect!

I just love this outfit. and you have nothing to worry about, you pull off the red lipstick really well! but i've always felt the same way about it. i warmed up to bright red by wearing a bright pink over the summer. after i got used to the pink, the red didn't seem so strange to me! :)

Amazing Kennedy! I love the mustard and gray together. The vintage stole is lovely.

I'm so envious of your long hair and bow-tied bun!!!

Your creativity never ceases to delight and inspire me.

those pants are AMAZING! what a find! I feel the same about lipstick, like a 13 year old trying to be 16, but it looks beautiful on you- especially with this outfit. I'll be posting some hair tutorials next week on my blog!

I have the same problem with red lipstick. It's all in our heads though, you look lovely in this shade.

I feel the same way about manicures and have not been able to get over that one yet.

Oh the red lipstick does actually look really good on you! I love the colour you've chosen too... And the trousers! I must say we don't suffer from christmas song overdose in Paris, so I guess I could do with a bit of Rudolf the red nosed reindeer.

as a red lipstick alternative, i use a covergirl lipstain in red (looks like a felt marker actually) with a bit of clear lipgloss over top

WOW! The lipstick looks good on you. You are looking fabulous and very stylish. I don't like Christmas song either. It is so much fun to play with makeup. I used to wear red lipstick everyday and switch to lipgloss but for Christmas this year, I got one from Nivea and it is red orange. I like it. Have a good day! It is freezing here in New York.

Your style is impeccable and I am so happy to have finally found a Boston blogger! It seems to be a rarity I must say.

I find darker lipsticks tough to wear as well, looks great on you here. It really does take any outfit up a notch.

You are so daring and lovely! You look great in those mustard pants; I would look crazy in them...

And I think you could pull off the red lipstick better if you tried brighter shade to compliment your skin tone? It might feel more like dressup though, but I think it would suit you more. And I felt like a a kid playing gothic dress up when I tried wearing red lipstick, haha.

Mmm, now following your blog! :}

I hear ya on the hating Christmas music. I'm forced to listen to it all day long and my co worker loves to turn the volume up when "Christmas Shoes" comes on. Then she cries, then I want to slap her. Kinda mean, but that's what Chritmas music does to me.

I love those mustard pants. You pulled those off, right along with the lipstick.

You definitely pulled off the lipstick. You look glam as glam can be! This whole outfit looks amazing on you, especially the pants and white stole. I was inspired by your mustard pants to stop wearing dresses and skirts, but I think instead of looking super stylish and chic, I just look like a fool in trousers.

i love this! the lipstick is great on you! oh, and a trick for not getting it on your teeth is to stick your lips out and put your finger in your mouth and pull it out! haha, sounds funny but it works! you'll see lots on your finger and most likely wont get it on your teeth all day. learned that in beauty school ;o)

I think this deeper shade really suits you! I too struggle with red lipstick and there is no way I could carry this colour off as well as you.

I always feel silly in red lipstick. You look great though!

i think the lipstick looks great!

and those mustard pants are...fantastic. i don't know if i would be able to wear them, but you really pull them off.

(i did recently buy a pair of mustard colored skinny jeans from h&m for $10!! there are no pleats or high waist, but it's all about the baby steps right?)

oh, hello ms. walking fashion editorial. boy do i wish i had the balls to leave the house dressed like you. i can't handle staring though, do you find that you attract much attention? if someone says something to me about what i'm wearing, good or bad, that's great, but the silent judging- oh shit i get the willies just thinking about it!

I've just started experimenting with wearing red lipstick. I NEVER wear make-up. It's fun! But, I need to perfect my application technique... I wish I could pull off those amazing yellow pants! Annie.
