a case of the mondays on a tuesday

thank you all so much for your wonderful book reccomendations! wednesdays and thursdays are my usual days off, and i am for sure heading to the library tomorrow to order a million new books.  i was planning on doing a movie list for 2010 too, but i'm afraid it would take up so much space that even the boundless internet wouldn't be able to hold all the movies i could watch in a year.  right now i'm watching requiem for a dream because its on televison.  ugh i don't know, it's an amazing movie and all but still, it just hurts my soul whenever i try watch it.  bummercity.

Love the fur muff! I want to get one and go for a sleigh ride ... Or just stroll around town with it to keep me warm in this frigid NE weather.

requiem is too disturbing for me to watch alone, though the performances are great. btw, thanks for visiting my blog. i'm so glad to have found a fellow vintage/thrift lover in boston!

I love Requiem too but I know what you mean. It just turns to bad-town so quickly! You go from this bright New York summer to this gaping hell-hole (eek, his ARM!).

Why did people stop wearing muffs so often?? They're so fancy.

I saw that velvet shirt and thought: this would look great on someone tall and slender and graceful--and lo and behold it looks great on you! Ahh, I has so many issues with Requiem for a Dream, one of them being that it's essentially a Don't Do Drugs scare-narrative in a really primitive way, but it's saved by the Aronofsky's cinematic vision I think and also I'm weirdly drawn to it despite being annoyed by all of its flaws!

love the outfit from the hips up. Im really not a fan of american apparel. their pieces seem to ruin your otherwise beautiful outfits. i think its a dying trend.
