internet confessions

if i think about it too much i start to feel like a weirdo for having a blog and spilling my guts on the internet for anyone to see.  i've been doing it since 2001 (heyyy livejournal) but it's become such a norm now that i almost forgot about the days when it was super confessional and nerdy and very much un-cool.  i loved those days!  back then i didn't write about much except for my very teenage feelings but i'm glad i still have it because it's nice to reminisce about when i was young and silly.  (i'm still young and silly right?)  so i guess in the end, even if it is weird, i'm mostly glad i have this blog and if the past is any indicator it looks like i'll be keeping at it for a while.

I got livejournal in 2001 too! And just like you, I'm so glad I still have it. It's funny how even when I was at my most ridiculous and emo, I read back over it and am still so aware that I was the same person as I am now in so many ways. Is that your experience?
I'm glad you blog - yours is one of my favorites.

i really miss having a completely honest open and confessional blog that used to be such the thing at livejournal. so many blogs nowadays are so impersonal and keep everyone at arms length - i guess it's not really looked on favorably to spill it all anymore. it was just so cathartic though... i've been contemplating starting up a secret LJ again just to get it all out - along with commentary from total strangers.

Yeah, I used to use livejournal as well, haha. Purely emotional vomit it was, and yet that's charming in a way. I don't really miss it because I feel like a different person now, having largely outgrown crazy teenage sufferings. I feel that my blog is still personal though, as I have a mixture of random personal rambles along with other things.

I think sharing is good, but it's always important to keep in mind the internet doesn't necessarily exist in some fantasy world - it's very real, and you should share what you are comfortable with sharing. That might sound like too much self-censorship, but I do think that's important. Sometimes I'm not very good at doing it though.

Anyways, love your blog of course. :)

I really do think that's the beauty of blogging :) you grow into yourself so much and then you have these priceless memories to look back on. No shame or regret whatsoever.
You're a little bit newer every day :)

As far as your outfit, I love it very much! Those soft pinks are so sweet.

I love your style so much and I admire your talent to combinate clothes in such a great way!!
Over the last few years you became one of my favourite bloggers and now, you are a very big inspiration to me. I think you have a great sense for adorable vintage clothes and know exactly how you have to combinate them.

So, please continue that great work, I am looking forward to see more :)

That's one brilliant outfit!
I do agree, I've only had my blog for about a year, but I can already see the changes I made. :)
